Earlier fasts were kept to please Gods and Goddesses in Hindu Religion, now it has become a fashion or an easier way of convincing government to fulfill your demands. Not bad, because, people have become helpless. They are not left with any equally strong weapon to fight with giant social evils like corruption, dearness… So they chose the non-violent Gandhain way of fighting, which is 'Fasting'. In Mathematics, a critical point is the one at which gradient of a curve becomes zero, similarly in a system, a critical point reaches when things become intolerable and stretching them beyond it, will lead to the breakage of the entire system. In our country, such a condition is arriving, when evil is winning over good, lies are beating truths & living a treacherous life is becoming easier than one with honesty.
So continuing the Gandhist style of fighting, leaders are keeping fasts now-a-days to pur their demands in order to change this system and keep it back on track. Following Anna Hazare, Baba Ramdev has now come up with this non violent weapon to fight with social evils.
People are saying that a Yoga Guru must remain that only, and should not try to become a leader, but, I feel, when a yoga guru has this power to fight for welfare of ourselves only, then why not to support him, just because he is not a born-leader. The need of the hour is a Yogya (worthy) leader, not a yoga guru… So analyzing Ramdev's demands that are in genuine favor of every citizen of our country, I support his step.
His recent trapping in a letter, written to govt., about a treaty after one day, doesn't prove that he is a cheater, because his agenda, after all, is for our welfare only, whatever way he chooses to, is his own choice. And don't forget, 'All is fair in love & war!'…

Ramdev and his supporters are treated like animals and even worse, last night. He has been trapped only because all his demands were so genuine and govt. was afraid of loosing power if his hunger strike takes a firy form.

Every Indian must raise voice against such a shameful act...
