The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams & Reaching Your DestinyThe Monk Who Sold His Ferrari: A Fable About Fulfilling Your Dreams & Reaching Your Destiny by Robin S. Sharma

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The title of the book is eye-catching; Looks like the story of a wealthy man depicting his life experiences and what made him sell his luxurious Ferrari. But the content of the book is not that obvious. It does not really tell about story of a man who became monk, but in an indirect way it is compilation of the author's suggestions, idea and teachings on how to live the life of a monk without disowning anything at all.

I read somewhere that this book is about leadership and is recommended in MBA colleges as a 'must read'. I would rather say it is about how to lead one's own life as opposed to being led by worldly pleasures. You are a manager of your own life, you must be able to control your senses and be able to lead the kind of life you want to!

I would recommend this book to all those who are highly attached to materialistic things. But don't just read it as another story book; It's to contemplate about what you read and gradually apply the parts that you feel can help you grow.

Happy Reading!

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
