It happens only in India

Today is a great day, because it's Lord Shree Ram's Birthday, celebrated on navmi-tithi of Navratri. And just as every other Indian and especially Hindus, I was also excited to take a glimpse of Lord's tempting image. It seemed like a great festival. People were dressed beautifully to catch a view of their Gods' and Goddesses' aesthetically pleasing and soul soothing idols. But what made me most surprised to see  something which is called 'Bhandara', where everyone, irrespective of caste, creed, category or social-status is served food known as prashad for free. Not just they offer to those who are arriving to the temple, but they request and make plea to all the netizens to please come and accept the prashad. And the organizing committee feels proud to offer different kinds of services at all temples to arriving bhaktas. It appeared like it's not just Ram Jee's birthday, but everyone is so happy that if he is celebrating his own birthday. I don't think that this kind of service, faith, love, prayer can be seen anywhere else in the world but India! :) Shubh Ramnavmi!

Some say he’s half man half fish, others say he’s more of a seventy/thirty split. Either way he’s a fishy bastard.
